How can we help you?
To understand
Understand the problem and the user.
By understanding the problem and the user, one develops the essential insights for creating a solution. During the Understanding phase it is important to learn as much as possible about the problem and the user. Who are they, what are their positions, how do they experience the problem, what context are they in, what are the assumptions, etc.
These questions and associated canvases provide clarity to answer the main question: Is there a user with a problem worth solving?
Checklist
- The users have been mapped.
- The problem has been identified and tested.
- The assumptions have been established.
- The problem is sufficiently defined to be able to come up with a solution.

Tips
- Sometimes the “taking root” phase in Kairos and Chronos takes longer to begin. Don't force the creation.
- Pay attention to user engagement and see if it creates comfort or fear. The SVB finds it difficult to involve others, especially service employees, while this type of inclusion is essential for a future-oriented organization and effective innovation and change.
- Learn to ask questions without your own input and influence. Read “The Mom Test” about this https://www.bol.com/nl/nl/p/de-mom-test-hoe-je-met-klanten-moet-praten-om-te-leren-of-je-bedrijf-een-goed-idee-is-terwijl-iedereen-tegen-je-liegt/9300000013862468/
