How can we help you?

To understand

Understand the problem and the user.

By understanding the problem and the user, one develops the essential insights for creating a solution. During the Understanding phase it is important to learn as much as possible about the problem and the user. Who are they, what are their positions, how do they experience the problem, what context are they in, what are the assumptions, etc.

These questions and associated canvases provide clarity to answer the main question: Is there a user with a problem worth solving?

Checklist

  • The users have been mapped.
  • The problem has been identified and tested.
  • The assumptions have been established.
  • The problem is sufficiently defined to be able to come up with a solution.
