Working principles
The following 9 working principles form the Novum Innovation Method:
- Innovate a process, product or service in a significant way.
- The solution is not fixed at the beginning of the innovation process.
- The final solution creates value for the citizens and/or organization.
- During implementation, the devised solution is developed (sometimes from an existing prototype) or purchased.
- The Novum Innovation Method is a structured innovation process to validate assumptions and limit uncertainties.
- Assumptions and uncertainties mainly focus on the desirability, feasibility and impact of the solution.
- Assumptions and uncertainties are investigated through experiments.
- Each step looks at customer groups, problems, context, solutions and/or channels.
- Success also means that an idea doesn't work. Then it becomes clear in time that an idea is not feasible, desirable or impactful enough.
