Open Policy Design

The involvement of citizens and organizations in the government is an important movement in our society. This is a well-known challenge in complex social issues and policy design. Novum explores Open Policy Design and how this method can contribute to the development of policy. Policy that meets the needs of citizens and organizations and achieves the desired effects. Everyone benefits from that.

We interviewed people at ministries and implementing organizations to discover how policy and implementation now work (together). They took us into the world of policy development.

Read in this publication about the insights collected from the interviews, the challenges in policy-making, and the meaning of Open Policy Design. We share what Open Policy stands for, what its application promises and what six opportunities we see for the joint use of this method in integrated policy issues.
